Our Story
Welcome to our Farm in Western Washington
Our story began in 2012 when we bought a falling down farmhouse on 22 wet acres. The first few years were spent making the house livable for people and the barn livable for horses. Then began the journey to figure out this whole “farm” thing.
You see, neither of us was raised on a farm. We both grew up in the suburbs, one of us (Bob) in upstate New York and the other (Sharon) in the Seattle area. Our experience with growing food was limited to some gardening. And the place we purchased had been abandoned and unused for a very long time, leaving us with a lot of work to do to actually start a farm.
And so it began and so it continues, with lessons learned that go far beyond growing food!
